"Children who have been harmed by abuse, family violence, trafficking, exploitation, school violence and all kinds of horrible experiences find help at Safe Places"

                                                                   - GreatNonprofits.org Review
What would you do if you were the victim of family violence, sexual violence, child abuse or human trafficking? Where would you turn?

Who would be there for you?

Would you be able to find protection, a safe place where there is no violence?

At Safe Places, we know that sometimes people feel unsafe.

We know that sometimes the world feels like a scary place, especially to a child or young person who has been harmed by violence or abuse.

Sometimes, we really can't protect those who need protection the most. But when we can't, we will still be there for support, walking beside them until they feel they can make it on their own. Safe Places is all about safe places, and we want to help.

We serve children and families throughout Arkansas.

Safe Places is a non-profit organization working to help children and families throughout Arkansas.  Ninety-nine percent of our services are free of charge to victims of sexual assault, family violence, child abuse, human trafficking and other forms of violence. Our services include individual and group support, advocacy, counseling, education/training, referral services and specialized therapies.

Our focus is not only on recovery, but on prevention as well. We try to keep violence from happening through violence prevention programs. We offer classes to help children transform anger, teaching children harmed by violence how to deal with their angry feelings. And we offer support groups where group members help support one another.

We have a dream . . .
to work together to create a world without violence.

We envision how life would be in a world without violence, and and that's what we work toward, one child at a time . . . one family at a time.

We do our best to help everyone who needs our help. And even if they can not walk through our doors, we go to the places where they are, helping them create safe places in their homes, their schools, in their workplace, and in communities and neighborhoods.

Each person we help puts us one step closer to our goal - creating a safe world for everyone. Won't you dream with us and work with us to make our vision a reality?
